Our Beliefs
That the scriptures are fully the word of God and therefore every word is true, authoritative and sufficient for faith and conduct.
In one true God who lives eternally and exists as three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit – the trinity) – each one fully God and living together in perfect community.
The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world and that all things exist for his glory.
In the dignity of all people (male and female) who are created in the image of God to enjoy loving relationship with Him and to care for creation.
That all humanity is corrupted by sin (by birth and action), which incurs God’s divine wrath and judgement. The penalty for our sin being death – both physical and spiritual.
The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully human.
The atoning sacrifice of Jesus (who was completely without sin) who suffered under Pontius Pilate and died on a cross, paying the penalty for sin in our place.
That Jesus rose again on the third day in bodily form, ascended to the Father’s side mediating on our behalf as the only Saviour of the world.
That Jesus will one day return to judge the living and the dead. Only those who have turned from (repented of) sin and turned to Jesus (through faith in Him and his works) will know eternal reward. Those that haven’t will know eternal punishment.
The ministry of God the Holy Spirit who is sent to equip and encourage the church, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness and mission.
The local and universal church which is the body of Christ, the priesthood of all believers, given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit’s gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love.
